the new Dungeons & Dragons The trailer for the movie appears to feature a particular red dragon from the D&D tradition. This week, Paramount Pictures revealed its first look at Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The movie trailer features multiple clips filmed in the Underdark, where Rege-Jean Page’s Xenk the Paladin fights with several tattooed fighters alongside a red dragon. While the red dragon is one of the Dungeons & Dragons The most terrifying monsters, the red dragon that appears in the trailer seems to be a bit….stronger than usual. This is because this red dragon is almost certainly a particular red dragon pulled straight from the D&D lore.
The red dragon is most likely Themberchaud, who appears in from the abyss conspiracy Themberchaud is an overweight red dragon known as a wyrmsmith in Gracklstugh, a city of Duergar known for making fantastic weapons. Duergar of Gracklstugh kept Themberchaud fed and happy versus Themberchaud who kept Gracklstugh’s embroideries lit. This arrangement has a hidden dark side – the Dracula keeps Themberchaud hyper and happy to make it easier to kill and replace when he becomes too strong to his liking. In the from the abyss adventurous, players have the opportunity to enter the service of Themberchaud and help him overthrow his guards.
One of the main clues to Themberchaud’s identity comes from the short shot of Underdark in the trailer. Blue torches can be seen above many of the buildings, matching Gracklstugh’s artwork from from the abyss.
While Themberchaud’s appearance was in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves It probably won’t play a “major” role in the plot, it may explain why the characters travel to Underdark. Maybe the characters are either trying to retrieve a magical item from Themberchaud’s treasure, or maybe they’re trying to bargain with the city’s blacksmiths.
