PUBG Devs brings more features to the new Deston map

PUBG: Battlegrounds The latest map, Deston, is now available on both consoles and PC platform to give players a new 8×8 battlefield to fight on. It brings with it some unique features such as the always available assistive parachute as well as the Ascenders which allow players to move quickly around the dense map, but pubg The team doesn’t stop there with more new features being rolled out for subsequent trials.

During some development flows prior to the map’s release where Deston’s features and features were talked about, the developers said they were looking into some additional weather effects, but not much was said about them at the time. In an interview with PUBG’s Creative Director Dave Cord, we asked about those plans for weather features and learned a little bit about upcoming tests that include dynamic time of day and improvements for storms.

“We’re exploring the dynamic time of day, and we’re imagining starting a game at dawn and moving into midday over the course of a match,” Cord said when asked about some of the planned weather tests. “We are also looking at ways to improve storms/rains.”

While these tests may or may not yield results worth adding to Deston’s map in the future, Ascenders and Utility Parachute are here to stay as permanent fixtures in Deston. It’s only available in that map now, but it’s available like other parts of pubg, The team is open to bringing navigation features elsewhere. Curd specifically mentioned the Miramar map as one that might benefit from these features.

“The new movement mechanisms will be the preserve of Deston only for the foreseeable future,” Cord said. “We always take a good look at the feedback sent across the game and will assess if these movement mechanics carry over to other maps in future updates. I think they allow players to drop center, this could be a great way to inject a little freshness into Miramar, for example example”.

PUBG’s The new Deston map is now fully available on both console and PC platforms.
