One of the biggest streaming successes of 2020 was Hulu Palm Springs, which has won praise for its engaging characters, charming love story, and totally unexpected sci-fi elements. Given the potential in this world and the opportunity to spend more time with the characters of Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti or even explore other characters in the world of bending, a sequel or spin-off might seem entirely possible, but writer Andy Siara has no interest in returning to this world. Fortunately, fans can still enjoy his latest project, Resortwhich premieres on Peacock on July 28 with the first three episodes.
When ComicBook.com was asked if he was considering revisiting a world Palm Springsthe director asserted, “I didn’t, but I would like to go take my family on vacation there after the show is over. But no, I didn’t think of going back to Palm Springs. “

While Ciara may not have an interest in such a comeback, co-stars Samberg and Milioti feel a little differently.

Milioti also shared it with Radio TimesWe’ve talked about it already. We’ve talked about it a lot. It obviously has to be the same group again. I remember we’re all joking about doing some kind of before the sun rise With that, you visit them three different times in their lifetime. So maybe we do one more work in 10 years and see what happens to them. But what I also like in the end is, in my opinion, the ending is quite ambiguous. I know I have a very different idea of how this turned out for Andy Samberg and who [writer] Andy Ciara and [director] the above [Barbakow]; The four of us have completely different ideas about it, which I love. So I guess we’ll all have to get to the same page to get a sequel. “
