Is the chalk camp over, will season 5 be the final chapter?

*Warning: Spoilers await Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous*

Season 5 of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous flew its way to Netflix in July 2022 after fans were left on the edge of their seats after the cliffhanger drama Season 4.

The final episode of Season 4 ended with the gang surrounded by killer robots and the new president of Mantah Corp, Daniel Cohn, Kenji’s father.

At first, Kun seems like a kid’s ticket off the island, but it soon turns out that the head of the Mantah Corp. has a sinister plan.

In the end, however, the Nublar Six are able to come home by the end of Episode 12, which has left Jurassic World fans asking if Camp Cretaceous is over and if Season 5 is the final installment.

Jurassic World: End of Season 5 of Cretaceous Camp

Daniel Kuhn’s plan in Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous is to use control chips developed by Mantah Corp and then sell the remote-controlled dinosaurs to a group of investors, including BioSyn, the villainous company of Jurassic World Dominion.

In order to conduct experiments, Daniel brought a number of dinosaurs from Isla Nublar to Mantah Corp, including Bumpy, Ankylosaurus’s beloved companion of the gang.

This proves to be a step too far for Kenji and he starts working against his father after he turned his back on the group earlier in the season.

Kenji and his friends get together, orchestrating a pseudo-load of the island facility’s powerhouse, causing Daniel to flee the island, saving the dinosaurs in the process.

The gang is finally rescued by Darius’ brother Brand, the scientist Mai as well as the returning Roxy and Dave.

Finally, the gang can go home and episode 12 ends with a time jump that keeps them still connected via video calls.

Kenji now lives with Darius and his family, Yaz and Sami are still together, Ben is back on the island with May and Pompey, and Brooklyn has been investigating a dinosaur escape at Lockwood Estate – a reference to the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and how dinosaurs found their way into the real world.

Are Cretaceous Camp and Season Five Final Chapter Over?

Yes, unfortunately for Jurassic World fans, Season 5 marks the end of Camp Cretaceous.

The fate of Camp Cretaceous was determined back in April 2022 when Netflix confirmed it was the final season.

Instead of Netflix canceling the show, however, Camp Cretaceous simply ended as the series’ storyline wrapped up and the kids finally made their way home.

In a statement to EWShow Director Scott Kramer said: “In this final season, Pham Camp will be challenged like never before.

They will face new threats, dinosaurs and more. Relationships will be tested, bonds will be severed, and in some cases, they will be changed forever. All this led to this. Even after everything our heroes struggled to overcome during the course of the series, the odds of survival have never been greater, the danger has never been more realistic and the stakes have never been higher.”

Although Camp Cretaceous Season 5 has ended, there is still potential for more stories in the Jurassic World animation as the Season 5 finale is very open as the gang discovers that dinosaurs have made it to the mainland.

Fans still want more

With Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous coming to an end, many fans have taken to social media to demand the show’s return – either for Season 6 or as a spin-off.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Just finished Cretaceous camp and I’m happy to say I really enjoyed the ending! If they decide to keep the movies going, I’d like to see Season 6 with a time jump after the new events.”

While this fan called for a spin-off: “Camp Cretaceous won’t get Season 6, (it honestly wouldn’t make sense) but I have hope they do a spin-off. I need more of these characters. Camp Fam 4 Live!”

Meanwhile, this fan suffices on how the show ends: “I just finished watching Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and am satisfied with this ending. They all got happy and not chased after. A bit disappointed, a time jump into the future already happened over From 3 years, but this does not affect the good. ”

But this fan was adamant that Season 6 should happen: “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous NEEDS a season 6! Or a spin-off! Something! It basically ended up on a cliffhanger!”

Finally, this fan offered to help write a sixth season themselves: “If Netflix doesn’t give me Camp Cretaceous Season 6, I’ll sue. I’ll even help out in the writing room if you guys need it.”
