As part of this big Shonen event, not only were new details about the future of the anime franchise revealed, but the event coordinators shared a large part of the series’ history for the first time online in the original video animation that introduced many to Luffy and his crew across One Piece – Defeat Him! pirate Janzak.
If you are not familiar with One piece The original anime project, OVA was actually produced by a studio different from Toei Animation, with Production IG tackling the early adventure that saw Luffy, Nami, and Zoro fight against a new opponent. Released in 1998, the original story made no mention of anything that happened from the manga created by Eiichiro Oda and has a completely different cast of voice actors who start out introducing the Straw Hat Pirates to many for the first time. The OVA Project has been released to a limited number of theaters and now you can watch the special for the first time on Youtube.
