groundedObsidian, the game available on Xbox and PC where young players battle against backyard dangers on their own little adventures, finally has a release date for its 1.0 release. After about two years of existence as an Early Access product, we’ll see grounded Get its full release on September 27th. The developers confirmed this this week while sharing information about what players can expect from the game’s next journey ahead of version 1.0.
Obsidian announced the full game’s release date this week along with a video of game director Adam Brennecke that previewed some broader plans for the next update as well as grounded IP in general. This included a preview of what’s to come in the next update called “The Home Stretch” which, as its name suggests, will be the last major update before the game’s 1.0 release.

But while this is the last big update the game will get, it won’t necessarily be that big in terms of content. On the recent trip page, the Obsidian team said this trip will be a little lighter than previous updates as the team focuses on the big launch.
“This update will be significantly lighter than previous updates because we focus most of our focus on the 1.0 work and polish that will be our largest content release to date,” obsidian said. “The Homepage Extension (0.14) is the last major update to preview the game before our 1.0 release in September.”
It is also worth noting that the price of grounded It’ll go up from $29.99 to $39.99 at its full launch, so buy now if you’re already planning to get it.
in related grounded News, it was recently announced that the game will be turned into an animated series.
