If that wasn’t enough, Andor, the newest Star Wars series to hit our screens, has only a few weeks left, and despite flying under the radar for most of its development, it promises to be one of the best series yet.
Created by Tony Gilroy, one of the writers behind Rogue One, the series will follow Cassian Andor to Diego Luna and tell the story of how he became a major agent of the Rebellion.

Andor release date and plot preview
Andor is scheduled to fly on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
Five years before the events of Rogue One, Andor tells the story of the thriving Rebel Alliance and how it grew from a handful of individuals to the fighting force that managed to wipe out the Galactic Empire.
At its core, the series focuses on Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and follows his journey from being a useless thief to hero of the rebellion, all within a galaxy made up of intrigue, deceit, and betrayal.

Andor will consist of 12 episodes in total during its first season.
Veteran Star Wars fans will note that this makes Andor the biggest live-action series to date, as The Mandalorian only offered eight episodes per season, The Book of Boba Fett contained seven, and Obi-Wan Kenobi consisted of six. classes only.
To make the new series even more engaging, the first two episodes of Andor will be released together on August 31 before the series returns to the weekly release schedule.

That’s right, not satisfied with just 12 episodes, Lucasfilm confirmed Andor would run for two seasons.
Moreover, it was already announce This second season will consist of a second set of 12 episodes, which comfortably makes it the largest live-action Star Wars series we’ve seen on Disney+ to date with a total of 24 chapters.
After the story begins five years before the events of Rogue One, the first season will follow Andor Cassian over the course of just one year as he takes his first steps towards becoming a revolutionary.
The second second will then cover the next four years, detailing the escalating war between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, before leading directly into the events of Rogue One itself.
