Lincoln and Gurira reunited onstage in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con to make a surprise announcement for the Rick and Michonne series, which is set to begin with a first six-episode season in 2023. Gimple serves as a showrunner and will executive produce alongside Lincoln and Gurira , who are creatively participating in their long-awaited return to the walking Dead Universe.

The network reported that Isle of the Dead and untitled Daryl And the Rick / Michonne The series will premiere in 2023, but the TBA release dates remain. Tales of the walking dead Premiere on August 14, followed by The Walking Dead: The Final Episodes October 2 at AMC.
