A new Dead By Daylight x Resident Evil Chapter movie has been confirmed by Behavior Interactive later this year. The new chapter, titled “Project W,” will feature a new survivor and a killer, both of which appear to have been leaked ahead of schedule.
Dead By Daylight x Resident Evil: Project W is slated to release sometime this year, but leaks suggest the new chapter will hit PTB servers on August 16, ahead of the official release sometime in September. The new chapter will include some new cosmetics and an all-new killer and survivor from the popular Resident Evil horror franchise.
According to Dead By Daylight leaker, DBDLeaks, the next characters who will join Dead By Daylight in Chapter 25 will be Albert Wesker and Ada Wong. Photos of the new killer and survivor can be seen in the image below, along with what appear to be the perks that came with them.
The timing of the new Resident Evil Chapter seems opportune, as Netflix recently aired a new series based on the horror franchise. Unfortunately, the new Resident Evil Netflix series has not been completely released to rave reviews. Currently, the program has a rating of 3.8 out of 10 stars IMDB.
But with that being said, the previous Resident Evil Chapter in Dead By Daylight was a huge hit. Chapter 20 introduces two new survivors, Jill Valentine and Leon S. Kennedy, as well as a new assassin, Nemesis. Since the release of Resident Evil Chapter, Dead By Daylight has provided crossovers with the likes of Hellraiser, The Ring (Sadako Rising) and plenty of other original chapters.
Although it wasn’t a full chapter release, Behavior Interactive recently teamed up with Attack on Titan, the popular animated series. The collaboration was confirmed during the 6th Anniversary Live broadcast and loads of new skins and cosmetics appeared for players to get their hands on.
Of course, we recommend that you take these details with a pinch of salt until they are made official by Behavior Interactive themselves. Although a new Resident Evil chapter has been confirmed, the new killer and survivor is still rumors for now.
