Bianca Bellaire defeats Becky Lynch again to retain the Raw Women’s Championship

Bianca Belair finally completed her path to redemption at SummerSlam Saturday night, successfully defeating Becky Lynch once again to retain the Raw Women’s Championship. Lynch badly beat Belair in 26 seconds at last year’s SummerSlam and it took until WrestleManai 38 for Belair to finally score a clean victory over the “Big Time Becks”. She spoke about her goal during a media briefing on Friday.

“The goal is just to win,” Beller said. “If I have to win in 26 seconds or half time in 13 seconds or 33 minutes, all it takes is a win and I come out as the Raw Ladies Champion.”

After exiting the Manhandle Slam, Belair hit the top rope with a Spanish Fly and KOD for the win. Lynch then agreed to shake hands with her after the match.

Blair was repeatedly asked to reflect on her past loss at SummerSlam, telling outlets she wasn’t aware of the booking until the last minute. I told inside the ropes Last September, “It was pretty much, very, very, very, very last minute. Pretty much when I was in the ring – until the time I got out. [to the ring]. A call so late, a moment so late, everything, every emotion I saw in my face during the match at SummerSlam, it was real, shocking. Kind of like, “Wow, this is happening. Well let’s go with her and be great at what she’s doing. So it was a very last minute call,”

“But for me, I think I’ve been able to get through it all just by recovering quickly,” she added, “and I think my journey, everything is going really fast, and I’ve just taken advantage of that and rising to the occasion and continuing to build my reputation as someone who can always be counted on and shows and shows and delivers.” Great show and lead, you know, I have a great reputation for what I do. But I think that by getting out of this, most people will see that I excel in twenty-six seconds [and think] “Oh no, it’s the end of her life.” But I think it kind of shows how much the fans support me, how much I really EST. I won’t give up and whenever I see occasion keep going. So I think it’s a great story. Big feud with Becky and you know when and if – I’ll say when I get my title back – it’s going to be an even bigger moment for me.”
