Euthia is back on Kickstarter

Steamforged Games has launched a new campaign on Kickstarter for Euthia: The torment of the Resurrection Follow up on their takeover of the popular fantasy adventure game earlier this year. A new Kickstarter campaign launched this week, with money going to a reprint of the existing game and several new expansions. As of press time, Kickstarter has already raised over $1.2 million and will remain open until August 5th.

Euthia: The torment of the Resurrection It was created by Diea Games in 2020 after a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $400,000. After the game received great reviews from fans, Diea launched a second campaign to fund the game’s reprint, but unexpectedly canceled it despite raising more than $500,000 in pledges. (Due to the cancellation of the crowdfunding campaign, these pledges were not collected by potential backers.) Dia explained that while their second crowdfunding campaign exceeded the amount of the first pledge. euthea, They still don’t have the volume to pledge to reprint the game and make new expansions at a cost-effective level. Steamforged Games announced a few months later that it had purchased euthia IP and they were a partnership with Diea Games.

Steamforged’s Kickstarter campaign offers only three levels of the game, all of which are cheaper options than Diea. Steamforged is a more established publisher than Diea and likely has access to capital and other logistical resources that Diea lacks, which explains how Steamforged was able to run the crowdfunding campaign.

Because of the high cost of publishing euthea, The game will not be available in retail stores, so the Kickstarter campaign will be the only place to guarantee a copy. There are three main supporter levels – a $175 pledge level to receive only new content, a $186 pledge level for supporters to receive a copy of the base game, and a $410 kickstarter to receive both the base game and all expansions.
