Sony shares promising PS5 stock update

Sony has shared a promising new update regarding the future stock of the PlayStation 5. Although Sony’s latest video game console has been out for nearly two years, it’s still very difficult to buy one. Unless you’re ready when the retailer has a new PS5 restock, you probably wouldn’t have been able to buy one otherwise. Fortunately, if you’re still looking for a PS5 for yourself, it looks like it might be easier to buy the console in the coming months.

recently conference call Referring to sales data from last quarter, Sony talked about the PS5 and PlayStation’s performance as a brand in general. While looking back at how sales of the video game brand will continue, Sony is also looking to the future as well and has told investors what it expects in the coming months. In short, Chief Financial Officer Hiroki Totoki said PS5 stock should improve significantly in the final months of 2022, thanks primarily to “improvement in component supply.” For this reason, it makes sense that the average person’s ability to purchase a PS5 will be much easier as the end of the year approaches.

The only downside to this whole situation is that as we head into the holiday season, the PS5 is sure to increase as well. Even if Sony has more stock to sell to customers, the PS5 will once again be one of the most sought-after items on many holiday wishlists in 2022. As such, hardware is sure to still be very difficult to purchase. Compared to 2020 and 2021, it makes sense that getting a PS5 should be a slightly easier feat.
