Valve shares great news for future Steam deck buyers

Steam Deck Valve manufacturer has shared some great news for those still looking to buy the handheld PC for themselves. Since Steam Deck first launched in early 2022, it’s been very difficult to get hold of. Unless you happen to close a pre-order once they go live in 2021, you’re probably still waiting to be able to buy your Steam Deck. Fortunately, Valve has now revealed that it will be able to fulfill these requests at a faster rate than previously expected.

Outline in a new blog at steamValve has announced that it has been able to increase production of Steam Deck units. As such, those with orders currently locked will be able to purchase and get their Steam Deck sooner than expected. In short, anyone who has currently booked Steam Deck for themselves will be able to get a console before 2022 ends.

“We are pleased to announce that we will be able to meet demand sooner than we anticipated for everyone in the booking queue. Many of the supply chain inefficiencies affecting Steam Deck are being phased out, and we are continuing to ramp up production, so we can produce more floors faster than ever before,” Valve said in the post. “As of today, we have updated the booking windows, and everyone who is currently in the booking queue will receive their email on Steam Deck this year. Several customers who were in ‘Q4 or later’ have been sent to Q3 (July) – September), and everyone is now firmly in the “fourth quarter (October-December)” window.

Valve went on to stress that those who order Steam Deck now will still be able to get a console before the end of the year as well. However, it has been warned that these queues will fill up quickly, which means that shipping dates will move into the first quarter of 2023 if you don’t act fast.

Do you currently have a Steam Deck console reserved for you? And if so, how does this news from Valve make you feel? Let me know either in the comments or reach out on Twitter at Trustworthy.
