Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Update 1.6.0 Today’s Patch Notes (August 2nd)

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.6.0 update is coming soon across all platforms, bringing a new game mode, adding Sigrblot Festival again, and fixing a number of bugs.

Today, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is receiving its new major update, and the highlight of the new update is The Forgotten Saga. This is a brand new game mode in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with rogue-lite features. The mode will be available for free to all Valhalla owners, however, you cannot play it until you reach Asgard in the story campaign.

On the other hand, the developers will also activate the Sigrblot Festival again, from August 4th until August 25th. By completing festival challenges, you can exchange opals for exclusive festival prizes.

  • New Free Play Mode: Forgotten Saga
    • Free game mode inspired by Rogue-lite for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. All players can access it once they reach Asgard in the main game. This new mode provides a massive challenge to players with a unique mission to defy fate.
    • After you visit Asgard for the first time, a new building can be constructed in Ravensthorpe that provides access to the Forgotten Saga mode. There are no power level requirements to access this content, and the equipment and perks you’ve unlocked are not carried across England.

Sigrblot Festival

  • Sigrblot returns to Ravensthorpe for a limited time. From August 4-25, take part in the festival and exchange opals for exclusive festival prizes.
  • To get to the Sigrblot Festival, players often arrive in England, complete one of the first two narrative arcs (Grantebridgescire OR Ledecestrescire) and be at least level 2.

Bug fixes and improvements for Expansion 3: Dawn Of Ragnarok

  • Main missions, global events and side activities:
    • The moving beam of light stopped at Alethorpis, making it impossible to solve the mystery of the Book of Knowledge.
    • The stone block could not be moved to obtain the Dwarven’s cloak for the blacksmith in Svaldal.

Bug fixes and improvements to the core game

  • Main missions, global events and side activities:
    • The Wedding Horns mission cannot be completed, as Rued is born into the dead.
  • Globalism
    • Reda offers one contract per day instead of two contracts.
  • Mastery Challenge
    • Anderitum Hideout Raven Challenge: Solve the persistent issue that prevents the key from being looted from a Destroyer if the player has already obtained it without opening the door.
  • Miscellaneous
    • When using Dual Spears, the combo ending unit attack doesn’t work as intended.
    • When using Algurnir Dane’s axe, perks from other bows and gear will not be activated.
    • The Twilight bundle appears as available for purchase when owned by Xbox and PC platforms.
    • Discounts on purchasing equipment from a bundle in the animus store are inconsistent.
    • The visual effects of the Blood Elf Eye-Wrap gear can be seen during some scenes.
    • Selecting “Sell all trinkets” in the shop will also sell merchandise.
  • UI / HUD
    • Button prompts in store popup messages are not aligned correctly with the popup box.
    • Incorrect thumbnail of Edward Kenway’s clothing on display inventory.
