Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson captured comic book fans earlier this year Batmanwhich quickly became one of the most popular DC movies of all time. Not surprisingly, Warner Bros. There is a separate series coming to HBO Max, focusing on Colin Farrell’s Penguin and his rise to power and giving fans more time with one of the most famous characters in the movie. For his part, Farrell also wants Reeves to be directly involved Batman sequel.
talk with Entertainment tonightFarrell said he wanted to reprise his role as Penguin, not only for the spinoff series, but for Batman 2.

“Matt is up to his hug, you know, hovering over the keyboard and plotting the story just because he’s so meticulous,” Farrell said of Reeves. “He is very obsessed with what he does, but he ended up all over the place [HBO Max’s] penguin [series] like that. I mean, it’s not going to direct it, but it deals with the structure of the scenarios and who’s going to direct it. And so, it’s exciting.”
Farrell was almost as unknown as Oswald Cobblepot in BatmanThanks to some great prosthetics from Mike Marino.
“I was hiding under the work of Mike Marino,” Farrell said of his performance. “Mike Marino is such a genius – what he did, what he made. I have never had less ownership in the role I have played than I have [Oz]. I really can’t. It’s 50-50, maybe 49-51 in his favour.”
Batman It is currently airing on HBO Max, the same service that will eventually be the exclusive home of Farrell’s Penguin series.
