California Dreams had a cold, cruel wake-up call in Reservation Dogs season 2. One of the best TV shows returns to FX on Hulu with the core cast of the original teens at the end. Three of them are still stuck in the reserve, while the fourth is on the way to their once-wanted destination – but finding life outside the reserve is more difficult than they can imagine.
Reservation Dogs 2 release date and time
Season 2 of Reservation Dogs airs in two episodes on Wednesday, August 3 at 12am ET hollow (Opens in a new tab).
Reservation Dogs follows Aboriginal teens Bear (D’Pharoah Woon-A-Tai), Elora (Devery Jacobs), Cheese (Lane Factor) and Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis). They lived on a reservation in rural Oklahoma. After their friend commits suicide, they plan to commit some petty crime to collect the money they need to leave for California.
When Season 2 begins, Bear is still mourning Daniel while also feeling betrayed by Elora, who takes her money and goes on the road with Jackie (Elva Guerra). He, Cheese, and Willie Jack have to deal with that age-old question that’s been haunting nearly everyone: “Now what?” With their escape plan collapsing, they must figure out what to do with themselves in the reserve.
Meanwhile, Elora discovers that California isn’t the saving grace she thought she could be. As another traveler once learned after an adventure, “There is no place like home.”
