Starz has provided some new details about the upcoming prequel series in the world of hit show Outlander — including the show’s title, which was previously unknown. The series is titled Outlander: blood of my blood, will focus on the love story of Jimmy Fraser’s parents. A writers room has been held for the series, which includes showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts. Roberts is also the show director and executive producer for stranger from homewhich is currently in production in its seventh season.
In addition to Roberts, Marielle Davis will also produce the pre-production along with Ronald de Moore, who developed it stranger from home for television, under the banner of her production, Tall Ship Productions. Story Mining & Supply Company will also execute with Diana Gabaldon as product advisor.

Karen Bailey, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, will oversee the pre-show on behalf of Starz, and the show will be available via its international footprint on Starz in Canada and StarzPlay in Europe, Latin America and Brazil.
