Xbox Game Pass Soft launches a new subscription category

Microsoft revealed today that it will be launching a new subscription tier for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Just a couple of months ago, we first started hearing that Microsoft was creating a new family plan for Game Pass with the intention of releasing it sometime in 2022. And while the full version of this Game Pass family plan has been released so far, Microsoft is now testing this version of the game. Service in specific areas.

detailed in file Mail On the official Xbox website, Microsoft revealed that it is in the process of previewing this family plan iteration of Xbox Game Pass. This beta version of the service is only available to Xbox Insiders in Colombia and Ireland. However, that level should eventually become open to everyone in other regions if the tests go well.

“Starting today in Colombia and Ireland, Xbox Insiders can begin previewing a plan that allows multiple people to share Game Pass Ultimate benefits,” Microsoft said in writing about the new Game Pass offer. “This makes it easy to play the best Game Pass games with friends and family across console, PC, and the cloud by enabling you to add up to four people to your subscription, all with their unique access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games, content and benefits.”

Right now, the biggest question about this new version of Xbox Game Pass comes with its cost. Microsoft has yet to say how much it’s willing to charge for this family class of service, but has suggested that it will be more expensive than Game Pass Ultimate. Specifically, the monthly price of Game Pass Ultimate ($15) would equate to just 18 days of this Family Game Pass plan. Given this conversion rate, it is assumed that the new tier will sell for $25 per month.
