Studio Ghibli Unveils Statue of Princess Mononoke to Celebrate 25th Anniversary

Studio Ghibli has earned its reputation as one of the largest animation studios in the world of animation. Produced some of the most legendary anime over the years, a major movie recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in Prince Mononoke. To help mark the occasion, a new statue is on its way to display later this year to revive one of the most striking creatures from the movie that pitted the gods against the industrializing age of humanity.

Looking like a giant and strange deer, Forest Spirit initially appeared as a benevolent and innocent deity who roamed the forest and with each step, creating new life under its hooves. Unfortunately, thanks to the mistakes of humanity, the soul is killed and unleashed on a great threat to the world that could have ended all life on this planet. Fortunately, the two main protagonists were able to decipher how to stop the creep’s curse and save humanity from itself after a disastrous chain of events.

the new Prince Mononoke The figurine is due to arrive in Japan in October and retails for around $160, helping to celebrate the film’s long history from Studio Ghibli that has managed to become a legendary movie in the midst of anime:

Prince Mononoke He likely won’t be receiving a sequel movie anytime soon if that happens, considering Studio Ghibli has mostly stuck with “one and done” stories in the past, but the film will be returning in an unexpected fashion later this fall. Studio Ghibli will open the doors of its first theme park, with a number of familiar venues from their movies appearing as attractions when the park opens in November. “Mononoke Village” will be the main movie attraction of the theme park, with other Ghibli films such as My Neighbor Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle.
