NXT Star teases jumping into WWE’s main roster for the Women’s Tag Team Championship

WWE’s Adam Pierce announced Friday that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship will return and that the winner of the tournament will be crowned the new champions. Former champs, Sasha Banks and Naomi, were suspended and stripped of their titles again in May after dropping out on an episode of Raw due to creative disputes (although there have already been several reports of them returning to the company). WWE announced at the time that a tournament to crown new champions would be held, but updates about said tournament dried up almost immediately and the idea seemed to be scrapped.

But now the championship and titles are back with the first matches in the group appearing on Raw tomorrow. There’s no word on who will compete, but NXT’s Mandy Rose appears to be hinting that Toxic Attraction might try to participate.
