Rick and Morty is gearing up to return for Season 6 later this fall, and Adult Swim is teasing a mysterious thing known as “Wormageddon” with an ominous new teaser trailer! Fans have been excited to see more work in Season 6 since it’s been confirmed to be coming our way later this year, but very little has been shown in terms of what to actually expect from the new episodes. With a new season confirmed to be on our way next month, it looks like Adult Swim is ramping up promotional material in anticipation of new episodes in an unexpected way.
despite Rick and Morty Season 6 won’t start until September, Adult Swim has dropped an ominous teaser and website for “Rick and Morty: Wormageddon.” There’s a countdown clock coming up later in August, and the first teaser for this mysterious new project is the thrill of a “secret” in the castle that lingers after the events of Season 5. It’s currently hard to know if this will actually relate to the events of the new season itself (or whether it will be some sort of tie in an event or match) but it’s definitely something to watch:
Rick and Morty Season 6 premieres on Adult Swim on Sunday, September 4 at 11:00 PM EDT / Pacific Time. As for what to expect from the new season, Adult Swim teases Season 6 this way, “It’s Season 6 and Rick and Morty is back! Keep up where we left off, worse wear and bad luck. Will they be able to bounce back?” Adventures? Or will they be swept away in an ocean of pee! Who knows?! Piss! A family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More
