In the midst of Star Wars Day (May 4th) and Revenge of the Fifth Celebrations (May 5th), Funko has launched a new Amazon-exclusive character series that celebrates the women of Star Wars. The Six Pop Character series began with Padmé Amidala, which was followed by Sabine Wren using Darksaber in the Star Wars Rebels animated series, and Jyn Erso from Star Wars 2016 Rogue One. Today we finally got the pop character who is the cornerstone of the entire series – Princess Leia.

The Power of Jin Erso from Galaxy Funko Pop It can be found here on Amazon for $12.99 with a release date of October 28. The Sabine Wren Funko Pop is Pre-order here on Amazon Release date of October 21. Given that Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) will make his live-action debut in the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: Ahoska, we might see the character with Darksaber again.

As for Padmé Funko Pop, it features the character performed by Natalie Portman in her Senate dress from the scene in Revenge of the Sith where Supreme Chancellor Palpatine established the first Galactic Empire, Padmé utters the famous phrase ‘So this is how freedom dies,’ to thunderous applause.

The Galaxy Series Funko Pop Padmé Amidala Power is available for Pre-order here on Amazon for $12.99 with a release date set for September 2nd. As noted, this is the first of what will eventually be a six-figure series of Bob. A new Star Wars Power Galaxy Funko Pop will release every month until the end of the year, highlighting women throughout the saga.

“Padmé has some of the most iconic outfits in the Star Wars series, so it was hard to pick just one look from her many memorable looks,” says Meg Dunn, designer at Funko. StarWars.com. “I’ve always found her dual roles as Queen Amidala and later Senator Naboo to be really cool, and we wanted to find a way to represent both sides of her character – her poise and beauty as a queen, and her strength and courage as a leader.” This thought process finally led to an answer, one inspired by what may be Padmé’s defining moment.
