Freddie Prinze Jr. confirmed. He wants to sign WWE recently to be the top star in his promotion

Freddy Prinze Jr. confirmed back in May that he was looking forward to starting his own pro wrestling promotion. At the time, he said he was inspired by the waves of multiple releases WWE has been through since April 2020, specifically naming former NXT Champion Karrion Cross. On his latest Wrestling With Freddie show, he confirmed that he wanted to sign Kross to be the main star in his new promotion, but also encouraged Kroos and Scarlett to accept the offer to return to WWE if it came. Kroos and Scarlett both returned to WWE on SmackDown last week, revealing their return with a promotion after their release late last year.

“My hero, and I talked to him a lot, he would have been Killer Cross,” Prinze said. “He was my man. I was building everything around him. We kind of worked out the story, talked about the philosophy, and his character, and his wife’s character, with the caveat ‘You can’t go on with your career make my order go.'” If you receive other offers and need to make a living, go make a living. On Wednesday, in fact, it was Thursday, the day before I had a SmackDown, I got a message that said, “Hey man, I need some advice. Let’s talk.” I already know, and I almost wrote to him the day before, “With Vince gone, you’ll get a call from Hunter.” I literally wrote this text and said, “The moon will offer you and if you say no, you’re out of your mind. Don’t get stuck.” I deleted the entire script and instead sent him a picture of this guy doing part of the show for me, so I can display it properly, and send him a picture of the storyboard stuff instead. I didn’t want to scare him.”

“The next day, I got this message, ‘Can we talk? I need some advice.” We started chatting, he says, “I spoke to Hunter. They made a show and it’s real,” he continued. “I think I believe him when he tells me what’s going to happen. You and I need to talk.” I told him what I just told you. “I wrote you a letter yesterday that I deleted because I knew this was going to happen once Vince left the company.” We talked about it and I said, “It would be crazy if you were chasing my dream instead of yours. Your dream was never to be, ‘I don’t want to say a federal name,’ your dream was never to be the Freddy B Champion, it was to be the WWE Champion. I couldn’t stop you from that. If you were in your twenties, I probably would, because I would be jealous and angry, but I want to see you succeed at the highest level. My union will not be at the highest level. This is WWE, forever.

Prins continued — “He said, ‘That’s funny, that’s the same thing my mom said. “Always listen to your mom.” I didn’t know how fast this was going to happen. We say goodbye, hang up, and the next day I watch the clip with Roman Reigns and Drew and all of a sudden, My Hero runs out and Drew kills and sets the clock on him. They put a rocket ship on this guy,” which is what they should’ve done the first time. Even though it’s bittersweet, the daddy in me is like, ‘Yeah, go make those bones, and the artist in me is like, ‘Look at him, that’s a hero over there’ .”
