Starbucks Pumpkin Spice is back but there’s no sign of a latte yet

Pumpkin Spice Latte season is officially here and Starbucks fans couldn’t be more excited.

The popular fall drink was launched nearly two decades ago in 2003, but first started gaining popularity in the mid-2010s.

It’s a plain latte made with espresso and milk flavored with winter spices of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, designed to taste like pumpkin pie.

Don’t get too excited because coffee, often referred to as PSL, hasn’t actually returned to Starbucks stores around the world just yet.

However, Pumpkin Spice Latte products are back in American grocery stores – awesome! Read on to find out what you can get…

Pumpkin Spice Latte is back in stores

Starbucks fall favorites It’s back in grocery stores across America this week, like 7-Eleven and Walmart.

That means a whole bunch of new fall-flavored coffees and whiteners are back on grocery store shelves for a limited time.

Most of the products are pumpkin-flavored, but there’s also pumpkin cream and salted caramel to try, too.

These fall favorites are back:

  • Starbucks coffee with pumpkin flavor
  • Starbucks® Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Concentrate
  • Starbucks® Pumpkin Bleach
  • Starbucks® Non Dairy Pumpkin Creamer
  • Starbucks® Iced Espresso Pumpkin Spice Latte

In addition, there are two new products for 2022:

  • Starbucks Nitro Cold Pro Pumpkin Cream
  • Starbucks® Salted Caramel Coffee

They are all designed to help you make Starbucks-style coffee at home and get you in the spirit of fall.

What is Pumpkin Spice Topping?

If you really want to recreate Starbucks’ famous Pumpkin Spice Latte at home before it hits stores later this fall, you’ll want to add the famous toppings.

When you order the drink, it comes with whipped cream, Pumpkin Spice Sauce, and Topkin Spice.

Pumpkin sauce consists of sugar, condensed skim milk, pumpkin puree, 2% or less fruit and vegetable juice for color, natural flavors, annatto, salt, and potassium sorbate.

Next, the popular Pumpkin Spice Topping is a mixture of different spices including cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves sprinkled on top.

If your server is feeling fine, a Pumpkin Spiced Latte might also be topped with Cinnamon Dolce Sprinkles made with cinnamon and sugar.

Unfortunately, there are no specific Starbucks Pumpkin Spice additives available for purchase, but there are plenty of other Pumpkin Spice products on the market.

If you can’t get your hands on it, sprinkling a little cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg on top of your frothy coffee will give the same effect.

When the famous drink returns to the stores

Pumpkin Spice Latte products are already back in stores, but there’s no sign of the drink launching at Starbucks restaurants just yet.

The popular PSL usually arrives at the beginning of September and stays on the menu even just after Halloween, usually removing it at the beginning of November.

Last year, a whole host of other Pumpkin Spice menu items were also available including Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew, Pumpkin Scone, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin.

In addition, Starbucks introduced Apple Crisp Macchiato to its fall 2021 menu, a coffee drink flavored with apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

It’s unclear if these products will all return to the Fall 2022 menu, but head to your local grocery store now for a Pumpkin Spice fix.
