The split between Gerard Pique and Shakira has been one of the most covered stories of the summer, yet the Barcelona defender appears to have already moved on from the Colombian musician.
Whilst Shakira has her own issues with the tax office in Spain, Pique has been focused on how his contract can be amended to assist Barcelona‘s financial problems.
Away from their respective issues though, the separation has been one which has had the interest of their two children at the forefront of each of their minds.
Pique has a new partner
However, it appears as though the Spanish defender has already moved onto his next partner, with The Sun publishing the identity of a new woman.
Clara Chia Marti is a 23-year-old woman who was working at a waitress at an event hosted by Pique‘s company, Kosmos.
That is epotedly where they met, which would suggest their relationship began way before the split between himself and Shakira occurred in June.
Chia Marti is also a student on a public relations course, with The Sun suggesting that the pair have gone to extreme lengths to keep their relationship a secret, including the woman scrubbing and deleting her social media profiles.
The tug-of-war continues
Whilst Shakira and Pique have been working intently on keeping the interest of their children at the forefront of the split, there are rumours that the pair are at loggerheads over who takes custody of the children.
Despite the split occurring in June, there is yet to be a separation agreement which fully covers just where the young children will spend their day-to-day lives and with which parent.
It’s unclear just when this will be settled, although accusations that the former Manchester United defender has been unfaithful with a young student will unlikely bolster his case.
