As McCurdy reveals in the book, those circumstances eventually led to her turning down the opportunity to return as Sam Puckett in the series’ continuation, even though co-star Miranda Cosgrove reminded her that it would be “really good money”.
“[I said] “Miranda, I’m not doing a reboot. There’s nothing you can say to convince me,” McCurdy wrote. “She told me that she thinks a reboot could be a chance for all of us in the cast to ‘get back out there,’ and maybe get some other chances from it.”
“But there are more important things than money. And my mental health and happiness fall into that category,” McCurdy remembers telling Cosgrove. “There is a moment of silence.
