THQ Nordic Tease New South Park Game as one of 26 undisclosed projects

During the recent THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, the publisher teased a new South Park game, while also stating that it has 25 other unannounced projects still in the works. A message at the end of the live broadcast stated that the publisher had 26 unannounced titles being developed, before the number was written and changed to 25. A brief teaser was then shown for a new South Park game.

Despite the fact that THQ still has a lot of unannounced games in development, their digital demo event did not disappoint fans. The hour-long event gave fans a sneak peek at previously announced titles like Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed and Way of The Hunter, plus brand new trailers for Alone In The Dark, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, and more.

However, the short teaser for the new South Park game is what really surprised fans. There are practically no details to share about what the game could focus on, aside from the very short sentence uttered at the end of the show. One can assume that due to the fact that it was just a joke, it is likely that the development was in the very early stages.

The last major South Park game released in 2017 returned when Ubisoft released South Park: The Fractured But Whole, which was a sequel to 2014’s South Park: The Stick Of Truth. Both titles received positive reviews from critics and fans, but it remains unclear whether or not THQ will stick with the RPG genre of previous games.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone recently revealed that they will be working on a new “3D video game,” as previously reported. Bloomberg. But it has not been confirmed whether or not the upcoming THQ project will be the same as that announced by Parker and Stone. If so, fans can probably expect an incredibly different approach compared to recent RPG titles.
