Rick and Morty has finally revealed the most complete look for its upcoming sixth season so far, and interestingly enough, the first full trailer for the Rick and Morty season has revealed that Rick will be upgrading to a new ship! The series’ fifth season introduced some of the biggest changes made to the series to date because it not only prepared some future changes to the status quo of the animated sci-fi sitcom, but it’s worrying that we’ll see more of a thread connected between each episode. These changes seem to come quickly as new season footage sees Rick making some upgrades.
Rick Sanchez’s ship is very much its own character in the series where the low-rent aesthetic stands out from the rest of the multiverse in the series (while hiding inside it full of artificial intelligence and tech weapons). But it looks like it will be completely replaced by episodes of Season 6. While we see the classic Rick ship version early on in the first full trailer for Rick and Morty Season 6, there’s a brand new and seemingly more advanced version of this ship that dominates the rest of the footage. Unfortunately, it’s unclear at this point if this new ship will be a complete departure from the previous ship (with potential new intelligence), but the changes to the ship make sense. Rick and MortyThe end of Season 5 had the teaser that Rick’s previous version of the finite central curve of the multiverse was destroyed so that Evil Morty could escape its confines, and the new ship would be Rick’s way of countering the other threats that exist in the multiverse. Given some of those we’re likely to see in the trailer, upgrading his ship is a major step.

This may be our first indication that Season 6 is going to be bigger and better than what came before, and it certainly goes in line with some of the promises noted by those behind the series for what’s coming our way in these episodes.
