Howard’s main success as a director has been to bring some of the best and most popular episodes of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett to the screen – in fact, fans believe she’s done a great job in the Star Wars TV universe that a blockbuster movie franchise is inevitably next. .
However, for her part, Bryce Dallas Howard is in no hurry to grab a huge franchise — just to take out one. ComicBook.com had the opportunity to speak to Howard at the promotional event for Jurassic World: Dominion’s Blu-ray Edition, and explain what to look for when directing within an established franchise.
“Because I love the sight of this [blockbuster] Movies. I love how complicated it is. I love that it requires like thousands of people collaborating – like I can’t get enough of that. But, I don’t think I would sign up for something I had nothing to do with in my life so organically. So if there is… as I was in a conversation about a really cool, amazing franchise and I was like, “I’m scared of this world.” I do not tend to it, but rather turn away from it; I don’t look for other movies and feel like if I wasn’t a mouth-watering person to be on standby, I shouldn’t be a storyteller.
And so, there are so many great films and franchises and all of it I would love to be a part of as an actor, director, writer, and producer. It’s so much fun to pass through this space – but only if you’re totally and honestly obsessed with it. ”
