New interview with vampire teaser sees Daniel challenging Louis’ story

We’re getting closer and closer to the debut of Anne Rice from AMC Interview with the vampire And now the network has released a new teaser for the eagerly anticipated adaptation of the late writer’s iconic novel. In the new teaser, viewers get a little more than Louis de Points du Lac (Jacob Anderson) interviews Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian), but Daniel isn’t just asking questions – he’s challenging Louis to his story about his relationship with the vampire Lestat (Sam Reed) .

In the joke, which you can check out for yourself below, Lewis appears to be suggesting that his relationship with Lestat is an abusive one, although he also claims that the two men were “equal in the dark.” It’s this assertion that defies Daniel because it seems like something completely illogical or at least very romantic.

While Daniel may not completely buy into Lewis’ account of his relationship with Lestat, the relationship between the two men’s vampires is an essential part of the series, something that recent showrunner Rollin Jones said he sees as a more venomous but beautiful love. A story rather than a horror show.

“I went back to them and said, ‘I don’t think it’s a horror show, I think it’s a gothic love story,'” Jones said of promoting the series. I want to write a very sexy, toxic, beautiful love story.” To AMC. “And they were frustrated with it.”

In addition to Anderson, Reed, and Bogosian, the series will also star Billy Bass as Claudia, Kalin Coleman as Grace, Christian Robinson as Levi, Asaad Zaman as Rashid, and Maura Grace Athari as Antoinette. As we’ve already seen in the official trailer as well as this latest teaser, the series will be a bit of a departure from the source material with some changes made from the book, although it’s meant to update the story for the audience.

“Developing this series carries great pressure and responsibility,” the series’ executive producer Mark Johnson previously said of the adaptation. “What Anne Rice has created and what amazes her fans with compels us to take this transition from book to television with a great deal of responsibility. It is imperative that we do not disappoint her fans however we need to make sure that this story sings these characters for a modern audience.”

He added, “We hope this series will force fans of Anne Rice to rediscover her work. We also hope that those viewers who have never read Anne Rice’s novel will go to the library, eager to understand what all the fuss is about.”

Interview with the vampire Scheduled to release on October 2nd on AMC and AMC+
