Born Again could reintroduce The Punisher into the MCU

Matt Corman and Chris Ord are working hard on writing the first extended season of 18 episodes Daredevil: Born Again, the first Marvel Studios project to feature a Fearless Man in the title role. So far, only Charlie Cox and Vincent Donofrio have been announced as returning members, reprising their roles as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, respectively. With 18 episodes on the docket – twice the size Strong woman And the WandaVision, And triple the episodes of all the other Marvel live-action shows — there are so many stories to tell. One of these stories should feature John Berthal’s Frank Castle return.

Enter Punisher.

If we think back a few years, DefendersVerse viewers will remember Bernthal’s debut as Castle came through during Netflix’s second season. reckless, featuring Murdock (Cox) and Fuji Nelson (Elden Henson) defending the gun-wielding guard in court. Bernthal’s performance in the series has been praised enough, and Marvel Television and Netflix have struck a deal to have two seasons of television featuring the character in the lead role.

We haven’t yet seen if Marvel Studios will keep seasons of DefendersVerse with the same continuity as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the multiverse now split wide, it’s unclear whether the mini-universe actually exists within the “Prime MCU” or an alternate reality. Let’s just imagine for a second he is in the main schedule.

Murdock and Castle may have survived Thanos’ sudden blow Avengers: Infinity War. Since the two have a history together, it makes sense that Murdock would want to keep tabs on the fan-favorite hero due to his violent nature, and perhaps, perhaps, the two lost contact at some point during The Blip. Rumors are starting to circulate that Echo Murdock has appeared in an attempt to reconnect with a long-lost friend. Could this friend be Frank Castle?

Marvel Studios will be fighting an uphill battle to reintroduce a character like The Punisher at this time, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. And if the stars are aligned correctly, Daredevil: Born Again It could be this way.

Daredevil: Born Again The spring of 2024 is expected to fall. The first three seasons of reckless And the Defenders A limited series can now be watched on Disney+.
