Chante Wilson killed: 25-year-old Tranisha Latavia Wilson wanted in shooting death of mom in southeast Houston, police say!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Police said a 25-year-old woman is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old woman while protecting her one-year-old child in southeast Houston.

Tranesha Latvia Miller has been charged with murder and aggravated assault on a family member. She is accused of Chant Wilson’s death.

The shooting took place on August 8 at approximately 1:45 a.m. in the 3700 block of Faulkner Street. According to investigators, Wilson was walking from the corner store when Miller, who was hiding among the parked cars, jumped and shot Wilson.

According to investigators, Wilson turned her back to protect her child from the shooting. Officials said the baby was not injured, but Wilson was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Then Miller left the scene in a red Nissan Cube or a small four-door sedan and remained at large.

The relationship between Miller and Wilson was not immediately disclosed.
