Commandos 3 Remaster will be released first on Xbox, PC and Game Pass

Kalypso Media has announced that Commandos 3 – HD Remaster will release on August 30, 2022. However, the release date applies only to PC and Xbox, according to the release date presentation.

The good news is that Xbox Game Pass subscribers on PC and Xbox will get Commandos 3 – HD Remaster as part of their monthly sub. You will be able to download the game on PC and/or Xbox starting August 30th. Or, if you embrace the fully cloud-powered future, you can skip the download and just play the game via Xbox Cloud Gaming, although you’ll need Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to use this feature.

So when will Commandos 3 – HD Remaster be released for everyone? This is a good question, and unfortunately, we can’t answer it yet. The official Kalypso release simply states that it will be “available on other platforms later this year,” which means that Switch and PlayStation players should be able to take their troop team behind enemy lines this side of Christmas. It remains to be seen if it will launch on PlayStation’s redesigned PS Plus, but you can guarantee it will be a paid version on Switch.

Commandos 3 – HD Remaster follows Commandos 2, which was released as a new version in 2020. Players can expect greater visual accuracy with fully recreated 3D characters, improved environments, HD graphics, gameplay tweaks, and even a new auto-save feature that must be Help fanatical players on their way through some of the game’s most challenging missions.

It’s a good time to reinvest in the commando chain, or just get to know it in general if you weren’t around at its peak. Commando was a big deal in the early 2000s, but unfortunately, the franchise was discontinued and left out in the cold. Since then, game publisher Kalypso Media has set up a brand new development studio in Frankfurt, Germany, to lead New batch in the series.
