The DVD and Blu-ray versions of the movie, which hit stores Tuesday, offer an extended clip of the movie that includes footage not seen in theaters. As part of the junket for the home release, Chris Killian of ComicBook.com asked some of the film’s cast and crew about their favorite director’s cuts.

In a previous interview, director Colin Trevorrow explained why they waited so long to bring back the original trio.
“This is the movie I’ve been waiting to make since the beginning,” Trevorrow told reporters. “It’s the movie that we’ve spent the last two movies building. It was really part of a bigger story and part of the design. And I think people would underestimate the size and importance of the Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum characters in this movie. It’s very much a squad, and that [includes] Being able to take these beloved characters for nearly 30 years now, and understand how they interact with each other in the context of a world we’ve never really seen before, and haven’t been able to witness until now. It’s very exciting to me. I’m having the time of my life.”
