Pasadena truck crash: 18-wheeler tumbles off elevated Highway 225 at Red Bluff!

Pasadena, Texas (KTRK) – There were no major injuries when a heavy truck fell off an overpass on Eastbound 225 on Thursday.

But with a motorist seizing the moment as it happened, it could have been as bad as a similar incident that claimed the life of a boy earlier this month.

Pasadena police said two 18-wheelers crashed into each other on the highway near Red Bluff, but one of the vehicles ended up on the service road below.

It was not immediately known how the truck lost control.

Briscoe Salidevar, an eyewitness news viewer, captured the wild moment, as the truck swerved toward the edge, only to flip away and out of sight.

Another viewer seized the truck on the ground and on its side.

Fortunately, the wreckage was limited to just the two trucks, unlike a separate but similar crash in the East Beltway on August 5 when a concrete mixer truck lost control and rolled off the road.

The truck then landed on an SUV that was passing through the intersection. A boy died in the car, while three others survived from their injuries.
