The bachelorette Season 19 proved to be one of the most exciting seasons ever (Jesse Palmer’s words, not mine). After season 19 eliminations so far, with the original towns and potential tie-ups only a few weeks away, things got real in last week’s episode of The bachelorette.
A lot of things happened this week that I haven’t seen before The bachelorette, but we’ve also hit some milestones that mean things are getting serious. Let’s break it down.
Best real bachelor breakup of all time
When Nate got a second appointment card, she knew. known men. The only one who didn’t know was Nate.
Gabe knew she couldn’t go to her hometown and maybe meet Nate’s daughter if she wasn’t 100% ready for the commitment to being a mother. So I did something I’ve never seen before BSC or The bachelorette Before: I took it on 1-on-1 to give it a proper break-up.
The two sat on a bench in Amsterdam and had an incredibly emotional and honest discussion about how, while Gabe has deep feelings for him, she knows she can’t move on with him if she’s not ready to step into the maternity role.
Holding back the tears, Nate tells Gabe that he understands, but when it was time for her he knew she would be a wonderful mother. Although he was 100% shocked by the breakup, he responded with maturity and respect. Nate’s reaction made the breakup even more difficult for Gabe:
It would be hard for Gabe to go through a devastating breakup while she continues to date other guys, but she knew she had to make a choice.
Rachel’s wardrobe is still dodging
To be clear, Rachel Rikia is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. But her outfit for this season is totally missing the mark.
Gabby even appears dating in cool outfits that fit her personality. Rachel is shown wearing whatever faded red dress. I don’t hate how Rachel looks – she obviously looks amazing no matter what the outfit. I just wish Rachel’s outfit could feel more true to her character off the show.
Good question, Rachel!
When Zack made a comment on his date with Rachel that he had taken steps to improve himself, I asked him a very important question: What specific steps have you taken to improve yourself?
It’s a simple but very effective question. If he wasn’t lying, he wouldn’t have a problem answering. But if he’s only trying Say He worked on himself without actually doing it, it would be pretty obvious.
Fortunately, Zach shared with Rachel that therapy became a huge part of his life and helped him overcome the low points in his mental health. Props for Rachel to make it more detailed.
The first “I fall in love with you”
Ring the bell, everyone. Our first “I’m falling in love with you”.
BA/Bachelorette Contestants are always careful with their formulation. You may have heard the phrase “I could have seen myself falling in love with you,” or “I have deep feelings for you,” but no one this season has yet to utter the six words that hold the most significance in the Bachelor franchise.
Until last night! In the conclusion of a highly successful 1-on-1 match, Zach spilled the beans on Rachel that he had fallen in love with her. Zach’s front-end communication (plus his mention that he’s going to therapy) has definitely cemented him into the ranks of Rachel’s top competitors.
I’m the president of Gaby fan club
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love Gabe and Wendy.
Gabe is rooted in a way that makes her relate to others. She is so good at dealing with feelings, she seems to be able to read people’s minds.
With Gabi, what you see is what you get, and I mean that in the best possible way. Gabe is a real person, she brings out the authenticity in others. When Gabe came to tell the men that she had sent Nate home, she forbade her spirit to them. In return, they offered support and comfort, while allowing Gabby to share everything she needed to get involved. It was as if everyone in the room was connected at that moment.
Gabi’s buddies are first class
I love how men work The bachelorette They always become best friends. We saw it two seasons ago with the guys in Katie’s season The bacheloretteBut Gabi’s guys are no exception. I think if you get a group of guys together and give them unlimited drinks, they are bound to become buddies.
But Gabby’s guys have really stepped up in the past several weeks. As I mentioned earlier, her conversation with men after breaking up with Nate was pretty mature.
My favorite moment from the scene were Johnny’s reassuring words to Gabi after she explained, “We knew.”
Johnny explained that the men had been sitting all day, worried about the decision Gabby was about to make. They knew she was thinking of her hometown. And they knew she wouldn’t meet Nate’s daughter if she wasn’t ready. These guys are in tune with Gabe now.
Let’s not forget that when Spencer was sent home, his closing words to Gabe were, “They are great guys.” Ooooooo.
The surprise of eliminating Covid
else BA First – Jesse Palmer had to break the news to Gabe that Logan has tested positive for Covid-19 and will not be able to join them on their journey.
It took me a while to realize that Logan’s positive test for Covid meant he wouldn’t be a rider anymore. I think there is a possibility that he will come back after he recovers, but he will waste a lot of time. A week is like six months in BA time.
So after switching sides halfway through, it was all for nothing. Logan is out of the race.
By the way – why did Jesse make it look like Logan is missing for some mysterious reason? We don’t know what happened off-camera, but Jesse apparently didn’t tell any of the remaining men that Logan had left because he had to be quarantined. Maybe it is a HIPAA violation?
New evil alert!
Someone starts playing jaws Music. We have a potential evil arc starting.
Tino was one of Rachel’s first contestants from the start, which is why he was shocked that Tyler got a date with the group. Well, shocked okay. You are allowed to be a little upset.
But Tino took it a step further when he began expressing his anger and frustration at not winning Rachel’s rose. We see him complaining to an off-screen producer:
Hit every point???? This isn’t basketball, dude. This isn’t basketball, dude. Maybe a misinterpretation, but it looks like he was trying to say he played the game today and thought he deserved to win. Even Jesse Palmer says contestants get in trouble when they think they know how to play.
Double Rose Party improvements
One of the biggest issues of the season so far is timing – the usual BA/Bachelorette The protocols are not intended for two leads. However, the producers made a nice change to the rose party last week when they allowed Gabby to part with all her roses, and then gave Rachel time to part with her flowers. It was a huge improvement from switching roses (as they did earlier this season).
The switch allowed both women to have their moment, and gave the men who killed them a better environment to say goodbye.
What do we think? I don’t read Bachelorette Spoilers, but I have Tyler for Rachel’s winner. I still think any of Gabe’s buddies could be the one, but towns would definitely be a big factor.
The bachelorette Season 19 airs Monday on ABC. Previous episodes are available to stream with a Hulu subscription.
