John Deacon’s Birthday Celebration by Brian May and Roger Taylor 25 Years After Quitting Quinn | music | entertainment

Today marks the 71st birthday of Queen Deacon, who retired from the music business 25 years ago in 1997. Former bandmates Brian May and Roger Taylor, who still perform as the band with Adam Lambert on vocals, paid tribute to the legend on Instagram.

An avid stereoscopic enthusiast, Brian published a double hologram of a deacon in the prime of his life.

The 75-year-old commented on the post: “Happy Birthday Deacy!!! Here we celebrate the wonderful birthday of John Deacon in stereo sound. This flawless conversion to 3-D was completed last night by our dear friend and collaborator Sarah Falk, Also known as bllueprintblues. Looking at Deacon captured in full flight — in stereo — makes those glory days seem so close I can touch them. Have a nice day, John. Bree.”

Roger Taylor, 73, also joined in the festivities by posting a picture of himself with Deacon during Quinn’s years together, and captioned: “Happy birthday JD.”

Roger shared that he remembers the last time he saw Deacon in person at the bar in the We Will Rock You musical around 2004.

As for Brian, he admitted: “We’re not [in touch]It’s John’s choice. does not want to be [involved]He wants to be left alone. That’s his choice and I think he needs that.”

Queen’s guitarist said how the guitarist never quit out of spite or anything, as the band never seemed to drop.

He continued, “It’s just that he needs his privacy; you have to respect that. All I know is that he’s okay about it. If he’s not okay, we’ll know. That’s the arrangement we have. No matter what kind of decision he makes, whether it’s a decision Technically, commercially, wisely, wisely, or managerially, we always get ahead of things John.”

The 75-year-old said: ‘If we hear, he’ll have a strong opinion and we’ll take note. So he’s a big part of the team, he’s just a quiet part of the team – which in a sense, he’s always been, to be honest. He’s quiet until that moment when he speaks. in it really and then you have to listen.”

When asked if the retired star often communicates with a feud, Queen’s guitarist admitted that he does so now and then.

Brian added: “Sometimes, yeah, sometimes because it’s a very tight-knit family, the Queen’s family. And that includes the Freddy estate; we’re still very attached to the four of us and that can’t really change.”
