She-Hulk’s lead writer highlights the hero’s future in upcoming Marvel movies

The first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Arrived, bringing a unique heroine to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the form of Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany). With a fan-favorite solo period in the comics, as well as breakout moments as a member of the Fantastic Four and the Avengers, there’s definitely been a lot of curiosity about what her long-term future in the MCU will look like. Mark Ruffalo, who plays Jane’s on-screen cousin Bruce Banner/Hulk, recently argued that there wouldn’t be another Avengers movie without her inclusion—a sentiment echoed by the series’ lead writer, Jessica Gau. In a recent interview with Hero Nation Podcast DeadlineZhao addressed how the prospect of Jane joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes may or may not actually be a joke on the show, and said she’d be shocked if Jane didn’t end up there.

“One of the things that happens in Strong woman He… There are all these things that have been said, and some of them are closely related to her living in that world and these will be things that have been said,” Zhao revealed. But there’s that scene outside the prison where she goes to see the abomination and the report is like we’ve heard she’s rejected by the Avengers.

“I’d be shocked if they didn’t start putting it in cinemas, especially team-team films,” Gao added.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complex life of a single 30-year-old lawyer who also happens to be a stout green hulk of 6 feet 7 inches. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Tim Roth as Abomination, Charlie Cox as Daredevil, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos, Josh Segara as Augustus “Pug” Pugliese, John Bass as Todd, and Renée Elise Goldsberry as Mallory Book. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Luis de Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Cuero, and Jessica Jau. The co-executive producers are Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth.
