Oscar Isaac recently talked about being tied up in Marvel contracts, but it appears the actor wants to return to play Mark Spector/Stephen Grant/Jake Lockley. In a recent interview with Limit‘s the operationThe actor talked about making “something very unusual” for Marvel and working on a show rich in character study.
“I felt like there was an opportunity to do something extraordinary, on a huge stage, with these incredible resources,” Isaac said. “To find a way to do this weird study of character and get on this weird, psychedelic journey that ultimately revolves around trauma, and to do it within that genre and that framework seemed like a very good opportunity to pass up.”
“You kind of pour your heart into the things you do just for the sake of doing it — not even for the outcome. You put those things out there for the feel of play, the sense of fun and excitement because it means something to you, and whether it shows,” Isaac explained. Literally on camera it’s kind of a side affair.” “I think the idea is that it fills in depth. You just feel its depth. All the details, all the texture, all that stuff, somebody is in a rush – which I’ve always been in for sure – you can kind of let things fall to the side, especially when You have six hours of the show to do its thing, and it’s always so wild. And you can still find the space and interest in broadcasting everything you can with some kind of meaning, it’s so cool.”
During a previous interview with SFX magazine, moon knight Director Mohamed Diab mocked the character’s return to the MCU.
“If you ask me, I will tell you that Moon Knight is here to stay,” Diab explained. “He’s an interesting character. If you’re a Marvel, I think the smart business decision is to keep him. The only thing is that Marvel isn’t traditional. If you succeed, it doesn’t mean you’ll get a second season. By the way, I’m still in the dark. I don’t have the slightest An idea. I’m only thinking like an entrepreneur now. But I think they’ll stay. Maybe it’s going to be a movie. Maybe it’s a journey like what happened with WandaVision. I hope someday, if there’s an expansion, I’ll be a part of it. They become a new dynamic, two of them in one body. We see Jake. You see Scarlett Scarab, who can be a superhero or not.
