Defenders of the Night take their time to shine in the world of popular culture. Following the Coldstone reveal, NECA’s new Gargoyles line is now 12 confirmed games. Goliath, Bronx, and Thailog have launched to the public while Demona, Hudson, Brookyln, Lexington and Broadway are currently available for pre-orders. Angela, Xanatos, Armored Xanatos variant, and the Steel Clan character are all present as well.
The launch of Disney+ gave the franchise new life, as the series became one of the platform’s most popular shows during the launch. gargoul Star Keith David – the voice behind Goliath – previously told ComicBook.com that he was agonizing over the opportunity to reprise his beloved role.
“You know, those of us who were involved from the start…I’ve always wondered why they stopped it in the first place,” David told us. He then came up with the idea of a possible reboot, saying he’d love to go back and voice Goliath. “[We’ve wondered] The actor asks why we didn’t go back to the reboot, “I mean, I’d love nothing more than to revisit Goliath.”
“You know, he was definitely one of my very favorite characters. I’ve always insisted that when I grow up, I want to be like Goliath.”
