Another Tales from the Borderlands game was officially revealed this week through Gamescom with Gearbox and 2K showing their first look at the next narrative-based Borderlands adventure. It will be appropriately calledNew Tales from Borderlands“It will star in a group of brand-new characters for players to guide them through different choices as they work towards different outcomes that define these types of choice-based games. The game is scheduled to launch on October 21 and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.

It was announced earlier this year that the series originally started by Telltale Games would be revived in the form of a new game, and just this week, we saw this specific game leaked via the retailer’s roster that came out ahead of schedule. That list said the game would be released in October, and it seems that all of that information was correct.
Anu, Octavio, and Fran are the three characters we see featured in the game. They seem to get a bot companion on occasion too since the character is featured in the game’s box art and sporadically throughout the trailer, but we didn’t see much about that bot at this time.

New Tales from BorderlandsAs mentioned earlier, it is the first game in this series to be created solely by Gearbox rather than Telltale Games. This has led to some questions about how well this new game will fulfill the original Tales games, but we won’t have the answers to that question until New Tales from Borderlands Launches in October.
