Battlefield 2042 The new season begins soon with Season 2: Master of Arms set to introduce a new Specialist and other map among other features for players to experience. Scheduled to begin on August 30, Season Two will begin nearly 300 days after the game first launched last year in November. A preview of Season 2 shared this week showed off some of what players can expect from the upcoming season of content with more information to be shared about things like the Battle Pass as we approach the launch of the season.
The new Specialist arriving in Season 2 is Charlie Crawford, an individual who has proven himself on the black market and given his team a high-powered minigun as well as additional supplies. Those revived by a Support Specialist get additional tool ammo via his new Cache Point feature while the Mounted Vulcan Stationary Minigun delivers a hail of bullets so teammates aren’t shot down in the first place.
“Keep your enemies where you want them to be with this monster,” Electronic Arts said in a preview of this new tool. “It provides tremendous firepower, which makes it extremely effective against light vehicles and pedestrians.”
Once added, Crawford will be the second Post-launch Specialist available in the game after Liz who was added in Season 1. In addition to the gear Crawford uses, we’ll see weapons like the AM40 carbine, Avancys LMG, and PF51 SMG, as well as concussion grenades. Two new vehicles will also be added — the Beacon-spawning EBLC-RAM and the quick little Polaris RZR.
All of this will be usable on another new map being added to the game during Season 2. This map is for Stranded, a battlefield located in Panama within a dried-up lake. The trailer below provides a preview of this map as well as some quick looks at some of the points of interest players will encounter.
Next season will also offer a Battle Pass for players to work through as they collect more cosmetics and other rewards. EA said players will learn more about this battle pass soon.
