Pearland, Texas (KTRK) – The Pearland Police Department is investigating how a child was left inside a daycare bus after the scheduled disembarkation time.

Police confirmed the incident after the 5-year-old’s mother called out and demanded an investigation into the matter.
Just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the child was found unscathed running and playing, according to the Berland Center.
There is an ongoing investigation to determine how long the child has been on the bus.
The daycare, The Learning Experience located on McHard Road near old Alvin Road, sent out a statement regarding the incident:
“We are aware of an incident that occurred at the franchise owned and independently located location in Pearland. While fortunately no one was harmed, this incident does not comply with our company policies, procedures and brand standards. We are currently reviewing all information related to this incident and compliance with local authorities. Experience is committed Learning is to provide a safe environment for our children and families, and that will always be our top priority.”
