Aralola Olumuyiwa, a well-known Nigerian artist with the stage name Ara, has denied reports that she had an affair with Oba Initan Ogonusi, Oni of Evie.
The well-known speaking drummer tackled the rumors on Asabe TV and revealed some details about the circumstances that led to her retirement as the cultural envoy of the famous Yoruba Queen.
She said ;
“Naomi and I only met at my cousin’s birthday celebration in Ondo State. Because of my child and the people who heard the story, I’m talking about it. I worked as a cultural representative for Ooni of Ife. But due to tremendous pressure, I officially resigned from my position before Warola Ife left Osun State. When I first heard that Queen Warraola intended to leave the palace, I implored the Oni of Eve to let me handle this matter with her.
It further stated that:
“The Queen was misled about many things in that palace, and she shared with me everything she had heard. People had sent her letters claiming I had an affair with Ooni of Ife and making other allegations. But I discouraged her to listen to such allegations. I also assured her that I did not have any intimate relations with her husband. I even explained to her how she would apologize to the king. She gave me and my child gifts afterwards. I think things settled after our long conversation, but perhaps people came back to her with more rumors. I decided to leave at that point, and I went back to the state Lagos.
