Nancy went on to co-author The Presley Family Cookbook and her own memoir, Inside Graceland: Elvis’ Maid Remembers.

Previously speaking with the guard, she shared how the King once bought her a car as he often did to friends and family.

The cook made Mr. Elvis his famous peanut butter and banana sandwiches and home-cooked lunches in the South.

At his first meal of the day, said the maid, who called the king ‘older brother’: ‘He was having breakfast at 5 p.m.: eggs, a pound of bacon, fresh orange juice, biscuits, and half a grapefruit.’ At midnight, He’ll have meatloaf, baked potatoes, and beef cut into small pieces.”

In the 45 years since King’s death, the maid has shared her last conversation with the star and how his latest girlfriend Ginger Alden called her when she tragically found his “blue” body.
