WWE’s Drew McIntyre shares a tough back photo after Roman Reigns attacked a violent confrontation

Drew McIntyre will face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle, but before that he has to face honorary Uce Sami Zayn, who has become an important ally of The Bloodline over the past two weeks thanks to some conversations with Roman Reigns. McIntyre would win the match, but this resulted in a brutal attack by Reigns, Zayn, and The Usos, who threw McIntyre at the announcer’s table, into the barricades, and then attacked him further in the ring. McIntyre revealed a photo of his back after the attack, and it’s hard to look at.

As you can see in the photo below, McIntyre’s back is covered in red marks and several cuts toward the right shoulder. He also had a big red spot on his right shoulder, and while he added the “I’m still breathing” comment to it, he could definitely use some time to recover.

He won’t have much time, as Clash at the Castle takes place on September 3rd, and he’ll need to take on The Bloodline again to become the new undisputed WWE Champion. McIntyre also has to worry about another SmackDown star waiting and watching in the wings.

That would be Carrion Cross, who got back at Scarlett’s side several weeks ago and made an instant statement attacking McIntyre and throwing him in some steel steps in front of the bloodline. Cross and Scarlett also put out a notice from Reigns and The Usos that night as well, placing an hourglass in front of them to let them know that time on their reign is running out. For the past few weeks though, Cross has had McIntyre straight in his sights, so he might end up playing a role in McIntyre’s match in Clash at the Castle.

You can check out the current card for Clash at the Castle below.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Liv Morgan (C) vs. Shayna Baszler
