Brave developer confirms a crack in future updates

After removing Split from the competitive map pool, Riot Games is now considering reworking Fracture, another competitive map that typically favors attackers rather than defenders.

Joe Lansford, Head of Maps and Styles Design recently revealed in Brief tik tok A video showing that he and his team are working at Riot Games to bring some quality of life changes and improvements to Fracture, which will make it easier for defenders to stop multiple attack scenarios.

Fracture and Bind are Valorant’s two competitive maps with unique transportation, which makes them stand out from other maps in the game. Fracture is probably the only map in Valorant that doesn’t have a huge “middle” area due to the long sliding lines connecting two different sides of the map.

While these compressed fonts are indeed Fracture symbols, they make it difficult for defenders to get around or change poses. However, you can still shoot while on the zipline, it is very difficult to hit a fixed target waiting for you to arrive on the other end.

It’s not yet clear if Riot Games will try to remove ziplines from Fracture entirely or will still try to keep the map’s distinctive feature, but the developers definitely need to figure out an effective way for defenders of their transports without too much. risk.

Recently, Riot Games added Pearl as the game’s new map and competitive map collection. Being a map with two bombs, Pearl feels more balanced. Also, the developers have not revealed any plans for Split after it was removed from the competitive map pool.

Currently, Ascent is one of the least favorite competitive maps, and Valorant players are really hoping to hear something new about the map from the developers in the near future. Ascent is probably one of the best candidates to be removed from the competitive map pool should any new map arrive in the future.
