Born in late AD 92, Lina Villarion is the eldest and only daughter of Correz and Rennes. On the show, we saw how daring Lana was to approach King Viserys and try to convince him of his promise of beautiful children if he married her. Well, she is also considered bold in the books. While she is considered an adventurer, just like his father, she is known to become as beautiful as her mother when she grows up. Laina also loved to fly, and she rode the Vhagar dragon.

Laena’s gender was the reason she was not considered the right choice for the throne. After her grandfather’s death, Jaehaerys handed over the throne to Prince Baelon in place of Rhaenys. This eventually stripped Laena’s right to the throne as well.

As we’ve all seen on the show, King Viserys’ decision not to marry Laena infuriated her father. But shortly thereafter, he betrothed his daughter to one of Silord Braavos’ sons. However, shortly after the courtship, Sealord of Braavos died, and his son took over his father’s fortune and moved to Driftmark. Corlys doesn’t want to marry his daughter to Sealord’s son anymore, and manages to postpone the wedding for ten years.

At 115 AC, Daemon Targaryen visited the Driftmark and fell in love with Laena. There was clearly a heat going on between Laena and Daemon’s betrothed; Hence his former challenge to a fight. A demon won the duel by killing him, and the two got married afterwards. But they were aware that the court and the king would not consent to their marriage, so they traveled to Pentos.

In 116 AD, Laena gave birth to twin girls whom she named Rhaena and Baela. Then at 120 AC, she gave birth to a malformed son who died an hour later. While she was exhausted by labor, the pain of losing her son left her in misery. Three days after this incident, Lena also died.
