Long before Netflix got the rights hypnoticEric Kripke had a chance to develop the series. Comic creator Neil Gaiman originally caused the discussion by explaining why the series didn’t progress until Netflix jumped on board.
“It was a great TV version for Sandman Network,” said the legendary writer. “But when you make a network TV version of Sandman, you lose a huge amount of what makes it Sandman. [Eric Kripke] He did a great job considering the limitations.”
The Sandman movie debuted to critical acclaim earlier this month and Gaiman says production is “on the right track” for season two.
