Along the way, Soffer’s portrayal of Halstead has become a fan favourite, thanks in part to his romance with Hailey Upton from Tracy Spiridakos. In a recent post on social media, Spiridakos broke her silence on Soffer’s upcoming exit, thanking her on-screen husband for his “kindness…his guidance…and friendship.”
“Jesse, what can I say, you are the best ever,” Spiridakos captioned. “Thank you for your kindness, guidance and friendship. You are the greatest on-screen husband a girl could ask for. I will miss being with you every day. Can’t wait to see the world in store for you next. #upsteadforever.”
Soffer will be officially leaving sometime this fall, though it’s unclear how it will be written from the show. This will definitely be upsetting news for fans of “Upstead”, the Upton and Halstead ship that has thrived since they started dating in Season 8.
